Announced during today’s Sony State of Play event, cross-platform sensation KartRider: Drift will launch its Closed Beta beginning December 8, at 4pm Pacific, through December 15, ending at 5am Pacific. Players will have the chance to win either a HyperX headset or a ChargePlay Clutch to improve their gaming experience. Players will also be able to gear up their racer with several different cosmetic items before taking the race to one of more than 45 tracks. KartRider Rush+ features a wide variety of game modes including a Story mode, Arcade mode, and online Ranked mode. Nexon's current priority, however, is the portable iteration of the series. In fact, the title is immensely popular overseas - Nexon claims the franchise has been enjoyed by over 300 million players - and it even has another title releasing later this year in the form of KartRider Drift. Better yet, the developer has teamed up with the renowned HyperX to offer an incredible promotion for the mobile game. KartRider Rush+ is the team's latest title, and it's hoping to compete with the mustachioed plumber himself. Although Mario Kart Tour might have a stranglehold on the mobile racing market, that hasn't scared away the developers at Nexon.
